Gabriel (Gerald Anderson) draws strength from his family as he continues to fight against Carlos (Jake Cuenca) and his father Roman (Michael De Mesa), who finally discovered Gabriel is Victoria’s (Ayen Munji-Laurel) son in Kapamilya morning series “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin.”

The latest test to test Gabriel came when Roman filed a case against him after the triathlete tried to save Victoria from being locked up in their home, which then led to his suspension from his university. He also got fired as Tiger Shark’s endorser as his rift with Carlos intensified, leaving him with nothing to provide for his family.

However, just as when he thought that fate was not on his side, a new opportunity came knocking on his door as Tiger Shark’s competing company offered him to be their new brand ambassador with the help of Isabel (Coleen Garcia), further pitting him against Carlos and Roman. But despite the chaos around him, his relationship with Bianca (Kim Chiu) continues to get stronger as they face all life’s challenges together.

What will Gabriel’s fate be in the hands of Carlos and Roman? How will their family surpass all these challenges? How will this affect his relationship with Bianca?

Meanwhile, “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin” continues to rule the morning block and consistently wins its timeslot. Last Monday (July 31), the series recorded a national TV rating of 15.9%, compared to “Trops” that only got 9%, according to data from Kantar Media.

"La Luna Sangre" Airs Outside the Philippines via TFC's Platforms Worldwide Winning Hearts of More Viewers

ABS-CBN’s highly anticipated epic saga series “La Luna Sangre”, top-billed by Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, and Richard Gutierrez, with the special participation of Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz, instantly won the hearts of the viewers in and outside the Philippines after the action-romance teleserye premiered last June.

According to the data released by Kantar Media Television Audience Measurement (TAM), a local viewership measurement company, the first two weeks of the show recorded an average national TV rating of 34.1%. On TFC online (TFC.tv), it continues to be part of the most viewed programs.

Aside from Bernardo and Padilla’s comeback on television, viewers also tuned in to Gutierrez’s debut as a Kapamilya, the special appearance of Locsin and Cruz, and the charm of child stars Erika Clemente and Justin James Quilantang who portrayed the young characters of Bernardo and Padilla.

Meantime, the pilot episode’s official hashtag #LaLunaSangreAngSimula trended on Twitter worldwide as fans shared positive feedback about the show’s top-caliber production. Angel, Mateo (Cruz’s character), and Tristan (portrayed on the pilot episode by Quilantang), also trended on Twitter nationwide.

“That is how a pilot episode should be. I believe LLS will give us a taste of cinematic vibe every night”, @juicewhattan said.

Meanwhile, @CarlaJean0922 commented, “May I say, ang ganda lang ng kulay. Hindi ko alam ang technical terms pero ang sarap sa mata. Buhay na buhay” (May I say that the colors are beautiful. I don’t know the exact technical terms but it’s like living color).

User @jochendria posted, “Hats off for the little Tristan, his acting skills were super. One of Tristan’s good traits --– he loves selflessly”.

Even premier singer Jed Madela expressed his positive feedback about the show on his Twitter account. “First episode pa lang pero ang dami nang ganap! Galing (We are just at episode one and there are a lot of happenings already. It’s great!” he said.

The pilot episode offered a glimpse into the lives of the Lia (Locsin) and Mateo (Cruz), who both settled to live a peaceful life for their daughter after their powers vanished.

But their lives, among other vampires, werewolves, and men, were taken away after Sandrino (Gutierrez) destructs their peaceful lives to find and kill Malia, the child of Lia and Mateo, who the prophecy states is the chosen one that will kill him.

Now that Sandrino knows that he killed the wrong child, what are his next steps to find Malia? Can Malia (Bernardo) defend the people close to her heart as Sandrino uses them to find her? How will Malia’s relationship with Tristan (Padilla) be affected if many believe their encounter is doomed since their first encounter?

“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” adds another milestone to its growing list of achievements as it celebrates its 100th week on television by giving back to viewers who have welcomed the show into their homes for almost two years now.

“I am happy that even if we are already in our 100th week, viewers still love and support the series. They inspire us to do our work well,” said the series’ lead star Coco Martin. “We will not stop in making scenes that are not just action-packed but also full of lessons.”

As the series enters its 100th week, viewers are set to witness more surprises every night as Cardo (Coco) faces new challenges as a member of the Special Action Force, with new plot twists and new characters to bring action and thrill to the series.

Since September 2015, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” has kept its spot as the most watched TV program nationwide, hitting an all-time high of 46.7%, according to data from Kantar Media. It has also been pitted against several rival shows, but it remained unbeaten as viewers’ support remained strong throughout its run.

The show also became an avenue for renowned action stars such as Lito Lapid, John Regala, Jess Lapid, Victor Neri, at Efren Reyes, Jr. to once again take the limelight and showcase their action chops.

“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s” success has also gone beyond television with the launch of its mobile game app, which allows users to experience the life of Cardo and save lives and has already reached about one million downloads.

Aside from the action-packed scenes on television, the series also continue to bring joy through its public service efforts. Last Thursday (Aug 3), the cast led ABS-CBN’s “Saludo sa Sundalong Pilipino” where they brought happiness and offered help to the wounded soldiers who fought in the armed conflict in Marawi

The series has also received numerous praises for its lessons about love for family and for the country. Its infomercial turned informational book “Ligtas Tips” also educates viewers about several modus and crimes such as budol-budol, child trafficking, and carnapping.

The action-series has also gained recognition from the House of the Representatives and different government officials such as the Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mike Sueno and Philippine National Police chief Ronald De Rosa, who both commended the series for promoting crime awareness and prevention among audiences.

Several award-giving bodies have also recognized the series for its story that reflects lives of Filipino families. GMA-7 is best known of bringing us the top rating hit Koreanovelas on Philippine television. Who could forget the legendary K dramas like "Jewel in the Palace,""Endless Love,""Jumong,""Stairways to Heaven,""Temptation of Wife,""My Love from the Star,""Full House,""Coffee Prince,""Baker King," and "Descendant of the Sun" to name few?

Well, all of these hit series were aired in the Kapuso network crowning them the title as "The Heart of Asia." But this year, they will not only bring us a hit TV series from Korea. Rather, they collaborate in creating a Filipino series with a Koreanovela theme starring a Korean actor paired to our very own Filipino actress!

Starting this August 21, 2017, get ready for another romcom in GMA's Primetime merging the two cultures in a series dubbed as "My Korean Jagiya." The series is topbilled by our very own Heart Evangelista. And she is paired to the Korean actor, Alexander Lee.

We may recall that this is not the first time that GMA-7 collaborate with international actors to star in the Philippines series. Wayback in 2002, they also brought here a Mexican actor and paired to Iza Calzado for a TV series called "Te Amo."

Aside from Alexander, three more actors were brough from South Korea. They were David Kim, Michelle Oh, and Jerry Lee.

"My Korean Jagiya" was filmed in locations in Korea such as the Nami Island, the Namsan park and the lock bridge. Even the "Jewel In The Palace" location which is the Seongnamsa temple were also included in series'scenes.

Aside from Heart and Xander, other cast includes Janice de Belen, Ricky Davao, Iya Villania, Edgar Allan Guzman, Valeen Montenegro, Myke Salomon, Jinri Park, Frances Makil Ignacio, Divine Aucina, and Khane Dela Cruz.

After the announcement months ago that Liza Soberano will be the new "Darna" in an upcoming Star Cinema movie, Viva Agency on the other hand just recently revealed their upcoming superhero film which is "Pedro Penduko!" And the actor who will play the said role is no other than James Reid!

The announcement was made Thursday afternoon of August 10, 2017 during the History Con 2017 at the World Trade Center.

Viva Agency is the talent management who is handling the career of James along with the other Kapamilya stas like Sarah Geronimo, Vice Ganda, Cristine Reyes, and Anne Curtis.

The said new superhero movie of Viva Films will be with a modern touch unlike the previous "Pedro Penduko" versions that we used to know.

In the new reinvented version, James is playing the character of Peter Harris who was brought to the US and raised by his adoptive father. When his adoptive father died due to an unexplainable supernatural cause, Peter return to the Philippines to seek answers. He will meet his mother with a supernatural power and he will discover that he has also a superpower that he will use to save his town against the evil forces.

Joining them are Frances Makil Ignacio as Carrie, Cindy’s supporter and best friend; Myke Solomon as Kerwin, Ji Hu’s driver and assistant; Jinri Park as Hannah Lee, Jun Ho’s secret admirer and Madam Kim’s assistant; Divine Aucina as Clarissa, Gia’s shy and conservative cousin; Khane Dela Cruz as Paolo Kim, Cindy and Ji Hu’s 5-year old son.

My Korean Jagiya tells the story of Gia, a quirky, bubbly, and hopelessly romantic girl often teased that she is next in her family to become an old maid. Apart from being a Korean grade school tutor, she is the ultimate K-drama fan girl armed with determination to meet her long-time crush and Korean superstar, Kim Jun Ho, who has since fallen off the radar and stepped out of the limelight at the height of his career.

When her school offers her a scholarship training in Seoul, she grabs the opportunity to try and find Jun Ho, but ends up coming home disappointed. As it turns out, fate had a different plan for her when she helps a drunk Korean guy beaten by gangsters in one of Manila’s bars. After a few days, the mysterious guy comes back to thank her, and much to her surprise, it’s her dream oppa, Kim Jun Ho!

Sparks fly and the two of them eventually become friends. But to Gia, Jun Ho will always mean something more. Can he find it in his heart to fall in love with her, too? Or are some dreams too good to come true?

With a light and romantic theme, My Korean Jagiya is set to make viewers fall in love with the kilig-filled story Gia and Jun Ho. The series was partly shot in South Korea’s most scenic spots used in famous K-dramas including Nami Island (Winter Sonata), Namsan Park (My Name is Kim Sam Soon), Love Padlocks at N Seoul Tower (My Love From the Star),and Daejanggeum Park, the actual set built and used for the internationally-acclaimed series Jewel In The Palace. Also, the series was shot in other popular tourist destinations in Korea like Han River Park, Cheonggyecheon Stream Park, and Seoul Land Theme Park.

Seoul Film Commission and Seoul Metropolitan Government provided support and assistance to the production team of My Korean Jagiya during their entire stay in South Korea.

The upcoming GMA-7's Primetime TV series "My Korean Jagiya" is the network's another huge TV series as it combines the prominent actors and actresses from two countries - the Philippines and Korean.

We grew up watching our favorite Koreanovelas before. And yes, the Kapuso station is the one who brought us the best and the remarkable Korean dramas to date! That's why they were dubbed as "the heart of Asia."But this year, they set another trend - putting the Filipino and Korean actors into one TV series. But wait there's more, they even brought the Filipino culture in Korean's memorable places as most of the scenes were shot there.

After we knew more about the series, it's time to know the characters that we will love every night. During the grand presscon of the teleserye held at the K-Pub Korean restaurant in Trinoma, Quezon City, August 14, 2017, the Korean and the Filipino actors shared one stage as they were presented to the press.

Formerly titled as "Kung Kailangan Mo Ako,"ABS-CBN released the new teaser trailer of "The Good Son" now featuring the final casts.

The series is lead by today's hottest young stars namely McCoy de Leon, Nash Aguas, Jerome Ponce, Loisa Andalio, Elisse Joson, Ria Atayde and Joshua Garcia. Jerome and Loisa replaced Elmo Magallona and Janella Salvador who were supposed to play their respective characters.

GMA's fantaserye "Mulawin Vs Ravena" is now on its last four weeks.

The series which is a sequel of its 2004 TV series "Mulawin" and of its 2005 movie of the same time which were topbilled by Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez started in May 22, 2017 and was first pitted against ABS-CBN's "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano." Weeks ago, the series was moved timeslot to defeat "La Luna Sangre."

Dennis Trillo, Regine Velasquez, Lovi Poe, Bea Binene, Kiko Estrada, Bianca Umali, Miquel Tan Felix, and Derrick Monasterio lead the sequel of this hit Kapuso telefantasya.

The supposed to be "#WalangForever" reunion of Jennylyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales turned to be an "English Only Please" reunion of Jennylyn and Derek Ramsay. Derek replaced Jericho in the new romcom movie which is also the official movie entry of Quantum Films in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). This is because of Jericho's conflict in schedule since the actor is doing shoots in the US.

Aside from the Jennylyn-Derek reunion, the said movie which is titled as "Almost is Not Enough,"reunite them with their "English Only Please" director Dan Villegas.

The tandem of Jennylyn and Derek was a huge hit in 2014 after playing their respective characters in "English Only Please." The said movie bagged the most number of awards including the Best Picture and the Best Actor and Best Actress awards for Derek and Jennylyn respectively!

Fans got more excited hearing the much anticipated reunion of Jennylyn and Derek. Retweets of their photos in instagram for the announcement of the said movie spread like wild fire.

"Almost is Not Enough" as an official entry to the MMFF 2017 is set to hit the theaters this December 23. Awards night is set on December 27.

Fans will definitely get more exciting to see their favorite love teams to reunite in one huge movie for MMFF 2017. GabRu or the loveteam of Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid and Dawn Zulueta and Vic Sotto tandem were all set for the family romcom movie, "Meant to Beh." This is Vic Sotto's comeback movie entry for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival.

This movie is actually the reunion of GabRu in the big screen after their successful tandem in the GMA TV series like "Let the Love Begin"(2015) and "Encantadi" (2016). If we're not mistaken, this is actually their first movie together in the silver screen.

On the other hand, Vic and Dawn reunited after 30 years. They were first teamed up way back in 1987 in the ABS-CBN fantasy TV program"Okay Ka Fairy Ko."

Joining Vic, Dawn, Gabbi, and Ruru in the said movie are Daniel Matsunaga, JC Santos, Sue Ramirez, Andrea Torres, and Baby Baste.
