As a result of the facility’s recent corrupt history, Sheriff Jamey Noel has devised a program where seven participants will live among the facility’sgeneralpopulationfor 60 days without officers, fellow inmates, or staff knowing their secret. “After recently taking office, it was no secret that the Clark County Jail had problems and we needed to take quick control. The only way to truly understand what was going on in the jail was to implement innocent participants into the system to provide first-hand unbiased intelligence. These brave volunteers helped us identify critical issues within our system that undercover officers would not have been able to find. We couldn’tbemorethrilledwiththesuccessofthisinauguralprogram,”saysSheriffJameyNoel.

Clark County Correctional Jailhouses approximately 500 prisoners, from inmates charged with drug dealing to first time offenders to capital murder. Over 12 episodes, the participants, who were hand selected by Sheriff Jamey Noel, are followed by hundreds of cameras planted throughout the jail exposing their journey. Each participant’s reason for volunteering for this program varies, but they share the ultimate goal of leaving with a better understanding of the system –howitoperates,itspsychologicaleffects,and wanting a part in exposing its larger impact on society. The sheriff is joined by Captain and Public Information Officer, Scottie Maples who helped provide training to all seven participants prior to being placed into the jail to help prepare them for their experience.

ABS-CBN airs the Tagalized version of the hit American series “Jane The Virgin” beginning Monday (Mar 28) on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.

Follow the colorful story of Jane Villanueva, a hardworking, religious young Latina woman who vows to save her virginity until marriage as promised to her mother and grandmother. She remains true to this promise even when it comes to her longtime boyfriend Michael.

Jane’s world turns upside down, however, when a doctor artificially inseminates her by mistake during a check-up, getting her pregnant even when she did not lose her virginity to anyone.

To make things worse, the biological donor of the sperm specimen is a married man, a former playboy, and a cancer survivor named Rafael, who happens to be Jane’s ultimate crush.

How will Jane face the situation? Will Michael pursue his plan to marry Jane despite her being pregnant with a different man? Will Rafael and wife Petra take Jane’s baby away from her? What if Jane starts to grow some feelings towards Rafael?

Carmen’s (Bela Padilla) failed attempt to escape from the hands of syndicate leader and father of her husband Tomas (Albert Martinez) led to her unexpected death in the country’s number one teleserye “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

After finding out about the illegal activities of Tomas' family, Carmen tried to escape from being held captive to reveal all the information she learned. But unfortunately, Joaquin’s (Arjo Atayde) father caught her and shot her, which led to her instant death.

“My character for ‘Ang Probinsyano’ was originally only for eight weeks. I’m so thankful that they extended my character and gave me a nice exit,” said Bela, who became emotional as she watched her character’s death in the series.

“I never had so much highlights in my previous projects. Thank you to everyone from ‘Ang Probinsyano’ and Dreamscape,” she added.

More Filipinos will get to enjoy quality Filipino films and re-experience iconic titles right at their homes as ABS-CBN continues to be the home of the biggest Filipino libraries in the country.

Regal Entertainment and Viva Entertainment recently renewed their partnership and once again entrusted ABS-CBN with the rights to broadcast their movies on its various platforms which includes free-to-air TV channels, cable TV channels, ABS-CBNmobile, and The Filipino Channel (TFC).

“I am a loyalist and will forever be yours,” said Regal matriarch Lily Monteverde when asked about Regal’s ties with ABS-CBN.

“They’ve been like a family to us,” added Regal Vice President Roselle Monteverde.

Regal Entertainment not only entrusted ABS-CBN with its current film archives, but even its future titles as well.

For Viva Entertainment head Vic Del Rosario, on the other hand, Viva’s ties with ABS-CBN has already spanned more than three decades and remains strong until now.

From being the home of the biggest movie titles from Regal and Viva, ABS-CBN is now also the home of the country’s biggest historic epic movie to date--- “Heneral Luna”--- after it forged a partnership with Artikulo Uno Productions.

“I feel that more people will be able to see 'Luna' and the message it carries. What's a better conduit than ABS-CBN,” said Artikulo Uno president Vincent Nebrida.

As its broadcast partner, ABS-CBN has the right to air the box-office film on its various platforms.

Korean heartthrob Yohan Hwang emerged as the first Grand Touristar of ABS-CBN’s original singing competition for 100% non-Pinoys who love Filipino music, “I Love OPM,” beating co-finalists from Korea, Pakistan, and U.S.A.

Yohan got the highest combined score of 32.82% from Himigration Officers Martin Nievera, Lani Misalucha, and Toni Gonzaga and the Kababayan votes, which were cast through mobile and through online, edging out other Top 4 Touristars Ryan Gallagher from U.S.A., Dio Smith from Pakistan, and fellow Korean J-Morning.

The 20 year old La Salle student stood out with his powerful rendition of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” theme song “Wag Ka Nang Umiyak” as sung by Gary Valenciano.

Yohan bravely took the challenge of Himigration Officer Martin Nievera for him to go beyond his usual cute performances and show his more serious side as a balladeer.

“You surprised us all. Your performance surely levelled up. You proved to us that you are not just a heartthrob but a singing heartthrob!” said Lani.

As the Grand Touristar, Yohan receives P2 million in cash, a summer vacation package in Cebu, and a one-year recording contract with Star Music.

The grand finals dubbed as “The Grand Destination,” hosted by Anne Curtis with Eric Nicolas, was also graced by Pinoy music icons Randy Santiago, Hajji Alejandro, and Arnel Pineda and teen heartthrob James Reid.

One of the GMA-7's most successful fantaserye "Encantadia"is set to return on TV this 2016. Four new sangres were already named. Who among them is your bet and you think can perfectly portray the role?

Glaiza De Castro return as kontrabida as she will play the character of Pirena, the eldest of the four sisters who is assigned to take care the brilyante of fire. The original Pirena was played by Sunshine Dizon.

Kylie Padilla back doing actions and fight scenes. She will give life to the character of Amihan, the sangre who is known by her leadership. The original role was played befofe by Iza Calzado.

After leading in the rom-com teleserye "Let the Love Begin,"Gabbi Garcia now will try fantaserye playing the character of Alena, the role first played before by Karylle.

New comer Sanya Lopez landed in a leading role playing the youngest of the four sisters Danaya, the character originally played before by Diana Zubiri.

Meanwhile, playing the other important characters are Ruru Madrid who is now Ibaro, the character originally played by Dingdong Dantes and John Arcilla as Hagorn previously portrayed by Pen Medina.

Real-life couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are also part of the lead casts as they will play the characters of the King and Queen of the kingdom, the roles originally played by Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta.

This month of May 2016, catch two exciting Hollywood TV shows to premiere in Philippine TV.

Sony Channel, the home of Hollywood’s entertainment, has added two new comedy shows for this merry month of May: CROWDED and SUPERSTORE.

CROWDED:Premieres Sunday, May 8 at 8:30pm

Taking its place alongside comedy series Dr. Ken on ROFLing Sunday nights, CROWDED follows married couple Mike and Martina Moore who are excited to settle into their new life as empty-nesters. But not all goes to plan and chaos ensues as their two daughters unexpectedly return home to figure out their lives and Mike’s parents decide to stay with them instead of moving to Florida.

CROWDED is produced by Hazy Mills Productions, Sam Jen Productions, and Universal Television.

The show stars Patrick Warburton as Mike Moore, Carrie Preston as Martina Moore, Miranda Cosgrove as Shea Moore, and Mia Serafino as Stella Moore. Stacy Keach plays Mike’s father Bob while Carlease Burke plays Mike’s mother Alice. CROWDED premieres on Sunday, May 8 at 8:30pm

SUPERSTORE, starring America Ferrera, is a LOL comedy which features a fascinating look into the lives of employees of a big box store called Cloud 9 in St. Louis, Missouri. From interns to long-term managers, each employee’s life and background play a crucial role in their characters and add a kaleidoscope of colour to the challenges of dealing with the unpredictable world of retail.

SUPERSTORE was created by Justin Spitzer and produced by Spitzer Holding Company, The District, and Universal Television. The long wait is almost over! Only a few nights left and we'll soon be watching Cinema One and The Philippines Star’s first breakthrough series titled Single/Single season 2’s pilot episode on May 15, Sunday at 10PM on the number one cable channel in the Philippines, Cinema One.

At the media launch held on April 21 at Restaurant 9501 in ABS-CBN, the cast shared that season 2 promises leveled-up entertainment and relevance that will appeal to the millennial generation, without losing the comedy and kilig vibes that fans loved in season 1.

Wondering what makes Single/Single well-loved? It is because its whole concept is hinged on millennial concerns which are very much relatable to the present generation. It tries to “understand” the way millennials live, what inspires them, and how they deal with adulthood/adult life. Season 2 aims to provide a much deeper insight on millennials in a way that is not preachy but very entertaining.

“Single/Single” is directed by international award-winning independent cinema director Pepe Diokno, written by Palanca winner Lilit Reyes, and produced by Bianca Balbuena, who recently joined the prestigious Berlinale Talents panel.

Catch tips on #HowToAdult! Learn from Joey and Joee as they face their everyday dilemmas and issues as a millennial. Will they rekindle their old romance along the way? Find out as its pilot episode premiere this Sunday at 10PM with replays on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9PM.

Also showing on Sunday on Blockbuster Sunday is the LizQuen romcom movie titled “Everyday I Love You.”

“Everyday I Love You” is a 2015 Filipino romantic-drama film that’s hinged on a choice between two men. Nisekoi follows the story of two high school students who are both children of two opposing gangs. RakuIchijou is the son of a yakuza family. Years ago, he made a promise to a girl that they would get married someday when they are older. She left him with a lock and kept the key with her. ChitogeKirisaki is the daughter of the rival gang American Bee Hive. The adventure starts when the two are forced to act as lovers so as to keep their families’ rivalry at bay.

Nisekoi, which literally means ‘false love’, is originally a romantic comedy manga series written by Naoshi Komi. The anime series is directed by NaoyukiTatsuwa and AkiyukiShinbo and produced by the animation studio Shaft, Inc.
